The Steel Ruler Water Level Gauge by Henan Rancheng Machinery Co., Ltd. is a precision instrument designed for measuring water levels in wells, boreholes, and water pipes, particularly suited for groundwater monitoring in hydropower projects or earth-rock dams. Featuring a stainless steel cable (upgraded version) for enhanced durability compared to traditional copper wires, it ensures reliable performance even in low-conductivity liquids. The device consists of an underground component (water level pipe and base cover) and a ground unit with a probe, steel ruler cable, receiver, and winding reel. When the probe contacts water, an audible buzzer, indicator light, and voltmeter activate for precise readings. Available in models covering depths from 30m to 500m, it offers ±2mm repeatability, operates on a 9V DC battery, and includes user-friendly maintenance guidelines for longevity. Ideal for both construction and long-term safety monitoring, this tool combines accuracy, adjustability, and robust design.

the principle structure

The reading of the water level change has two major components:

1. The underground material embedded part is composed of water level pipe and bottom cover (sold separately)

2. Ground receiving instrument-steel ruler water level gauge, consisting of measuring head, steel ruler cable, receiving system and winding plate.

3.Probe part: Made of stainless steel, water resistance contact points are installed inside. When the contact point contacts the water surface, the receiving system will be turned on. When the contact point leaves the water surface, the receiving system will be closed.

4.Steel rule cable part: The steel rule and wire are combined into a plastic process, which prevents the steel rule from rusting and simplifies the operation process. The reading is more convenient and accurate.

5.Receiving system: It consists of a horn, an indicator and a peak indicator. The buzzer sounds continuously, the indicator light is on, and the peak indication is indicated by the voltmeter.
